In addition to the survey for the general public, we have focused lately also on the level of knowledge about the protection of birds among school youth. We spoke to more than 200 primary and secondary schools located in the project area, close to the SPAs. We were interested in the knowledge of the problems of threats and protection of birds, or the care of injured individuals to children in schools and teachers themselves.

Several schools participated in our survey- Elementary School in Láb, Elementary School in Záhorská Ves, E.school Biskupická, Bratislava, Skalica Private Elementary School, Elementary School in Bratislava - Jarovce and two other schools that did not provide their address. Completed questionnaires with answers to our questions sent us a total of 10 teachers and 63 pupils. Anyway, the survey confirmed that environmental education in schools is welcomed and has an irreplaceable role in the education of future generations. Although we obtained a limited number of surveys, data showed that children from schools where environmental education is as a separate subject achieved a good level of knowledge on the subject. Almost all of whatever class responded correctly to questions regarding the protected bird area near schools, selected by an appropriate procedure for finding the injured animal and they are aware of the dangerous effects of electric power lines.
