b) water management, flood protection, protection of water quality and quantity and its rational usage, fisheries with the exception of aquaculture and sea fishing 

c) air, ozone layer and climate protection 

d) environmental aspects of planning 

e) waste management 

f) assessment of environmental impacts 

g) provision of a unified information system on environment and area monitoring 

h) geological research and exploration 

i) protection and control of trade with endangered species of wild fauna and flora 

j) genetically modified organisms
