The LIFE Energy project also took part at the Long Night of Museums in Košice. The actual exhibition "High on the Wings - What we know about the Lesser-Spotted Eagle" presents also the outcomes of our project.
On March 1, 2018, an exhibition opening was opened at the Východoslovenské múzeum in Košice - "High on the Wings - What We Know About the Lesser Spotted Eagle". The exhibition will run until May 27, 2018, you can find more information here.

The organization Raptor Protection of Slovakia (RPS) in cooperation with the State Nature Protection of the Slovak Republic christened on 17th September 2015 Ferrari special tractor to assist in the rescue of suslik colonies.
On behalf of the Electricity Company Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s., presentation installation of bird protection against collision with 110 kV power lines was held near Lemešany. The installation was made by drone which was specifically designed for such kinds of work. In terms of placing components on the electric lines, it presents a simple way to facilitate the work of power providers. It is also a unique solution of global importance that has become interesting for many other countries.
The most famous and biggest Slovak music festival Pohoda 2015 (9th -11th July) this year was full of energy. We contributed to the festival thanks to the cooperation with Západoslovenská distribution, a.s. With banners and samples of flight diverters we informed about the project LIFE Energy and explained how to create a safe environment for the birds.
European ground squirrel is among people very popular and very useful in nature. He lives in colonies. In the past, farmers were considered him a pest and its colonies consisted of several thousand individuals. Today farmers support suslik´s return on their pasture.
Near electrical stations Lemešany, realised Východoslovenská distribution, a.s., in cooperation with the NGO Raptor Protection of Slovakia, examples of installing the components to protect the birds on consoles of electric power lines - insulators that allow birds to securely sit on consoles.
In the Western and Eastern part of Slovakia there will be 55 aluminum nest boxes installed for the Saker Falcon and in the trees there will be 40 artificial nests installed for both the Saker Falcon and the Imperial Eagle.
Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. today introduced a new type of insulator, to be used within the western Slovakia. This is an element that is installed on the construction of columns 22 kV power lines and prevents birds abut on the dangerous structures.
