Project LIFE Energy as implemented in thirteen SPAs (Special Protection Areas) in the period of 1st September 2014 - 31st December 2019 and was aimed at protecting the ten priority bird species. Project pages are currently updated only on an occasional basis.
The project is realized through twenty-two groups of activities, each of which includes a number of actions. Their goal is to create long-term safe zones in areas that are most important for birds in terms of migration, rest and/or hunting or for aging environment and provide immediate assistance to the injured individuals, but also to inform and interact with target groups and improve cooperation with all parties concerned.
We make the power lines more visible for birds in order to protect them from collisions.
Special care will be ensured for injured individuals found during the monitoring.
55 aluminium nest boxes for the Saker Falcon will be installed as well as 40 artificial nests for the Saker and the Imperial Eagle.
