Project LIFE Energy as implemented in thirteen SPAs (Special Protection Areas) in the period of 1st September 2014 - 31st December 2019 and was aimed at protecting the ten priority bird species. Project pages are currently updated only on an occasional basis.

  • Detailed survey of 22 kV and 110 kV power lines in project area continues, Remaining of 200 bird individuals were found, 1 Imperial Eagle, 3 Saker Falcons, 14 White Storks, Employees of State Nature Conservancy also monitor power lines (C1),

  • 1 injured Common Kestrel was treated, reconstruction of Rehabilitation station in Rozhanovce continues (C4),

  • the population of European Ground Squirrel was controlled in Hrhov and in Gemerská hôrka (C5),

  • 2 Press Releases were published with 16 medial outputs, we continue with PR set (T-shirts, bags, stickers) (E4),

  • Tractor for mowing of areas in C5 is prepared and will be used for mowing (F1), Meeting of Steering Committee will hold a meeting on 30th September in Banská Štiavnica (F2)
