Project LIFE Energy as implemented in thirteen SPAs (Special Protection Areas) in the period of 1st September 2014 - 31st December 2019 and was aimed at protecting the ten priority bird species. Project pages are currently updated only on an occasional basis.
The installation of the flight diverters was not realized by the VSD, the installation of the remaining 22 kV and 110 kV sections will continue as soon as possible due to the deadline for the electric switches and weather conditions. From the ZSD, all 22 kV sections are already treated.
Number of treated individuals in 01/2019: Rehabilitation station in Rozhanovce - 1 individual, of which new arrived: 0. UVLF KE Clinic - 5 individuals, of which newly received: 5.
All power lines treated by flight diverters are regularly controlled by monitoring of the effectiveness in terms of the D1 activity manual, findings are updated in the database.
The exhibition in now located in the vestibule of the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology at STU in Bratislava city center, where it is open to public.
We published a press release focusing on the ornithological evaluation of 2018, as well as a reference to the number of installed flight diverters within the project.
We recorded 13 media outputs, 5 of them in online form, 3 reports on radio and 5 reports on TV. Preparation of the abstract about the achieved results of the LIFE Energy project for the international conference Zoological Days Brno 2019 (7-8.2.2019).
