The LIFE Awards ceremony was held during the EU Green Week 2021, where the most most innovative, inspirational, and effective LIFE projects were recognized by the European Commission. Among 129 projects, 5 projects have been nominated for each of three categories: nature protection, environment, and climate action, and the LIFE Energy project is the winner of the nature protection category! We are very pleased that our work has been recognized by the European Commission. The award belongs to each project partner and individual, who participated in the project realization and contributed to the great results, which were achieved during the project.

The success of the LIFE Energy project has become an inspiration for another ongoing international project LIFE Danube Free Sky, that focuses on increasing power lines‘ safety for birds along the Danube. During 5 years, 15 project partners from 7 countries will cooperate and implement mitigation measures in order to achieve better visibility of 245 km of the most dangerous power lines along the Danube river and insulation of the constuction of at least 3200 most dangerous utility poles.
