Wednesday 28 June 2017 was an extraordinary day for the children from the elementary school on Starozagorská Street in Košice. Under the leadership of Mrs. Kišová they visited the Clinic for birds and exotic animals at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice. The excursion at the clinic was an accompanying event of the exhibition "I´m sitting on a line and I´m fine" at the East Slovak Museum in Košice.

The excursion took place thanks to the initiative of the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, a partner of the LIFE Energia project. It took place at the first aid site, professional treatment and treatment of injured animals including cases of bird injuries on electric lines. The clinic also serves for the practical training of prospective veterinarians within the university.

As a result of the circumstances, during the excursion at the clinic, a new case - a young injured  common kestrel - came in, so the children had a unique opportunity to assist the clinic staff immediately after providing the first treatment.
