Západoslovenská distribučná, a.s. was established on 1st January 2013 by the rebranding of ZSE Distribúcia, a.s.

Company’s information

Our company entered the energy market on 1st July 2007 as a 100% daughter company of ZSE due to requirements from European and Slovak legislation promoting the liberalisation of the energy market.

The Company is responsible for the operation of the distribution system. It has obtained all required licences for energy distribution and is regulated by the Regulatory Office for Network Industries.

Core business activities as stated in records of the Commercial Register:

• Electricity distribution
• Lease of machines, apparatuses, devices, mechanisms and movables under a free trade license 
• Purchase of goods for the resale to end customers (retail)
• Purchase of goods for the resale to other businesses (wholesale)
• Mediation activities to the extent of unregulated trade
• Business advisory services to the extent of unregulated trade
• Lease of real estates with the provision of additional services.

Company Západoslovenská energetika, a.s. has been partner in several important projects, aimed at the conservation of the Great Bustard, Imperial Eagle or Saker Falcon since 2004. In these projects we were responsible for the insulation of thousands of dangerous power lines to prevent electrocution.
